1) Who we are & how these Terms work
These Terms govern your use of the editorial, news, and related services of NewstimeTN, including all features offered through our website(s), mobile apps, newsletters, widgets, APIs, feeds, and other digital platforms (collectively, the “Services”).
2) Other documents that also apply
Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy form part of these Terms. Certain features of the Services (such as APIs, embeds, or special tools) may be subject to additional terms, which will apply alongside these Terms.
3) Changes we may make
We may update these Terms or modify the Services at any time by posting revised Terms on NewstimeTN and, where required by law, providing additional notice. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services for business, legal, editorial, or operational reasons.
4) Who can use the Services
You must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to contract under Indian law. If you are under 18, you may use the Services only with the involvement and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
5) Your account, security & fair access
Some Services may require registration or a paid subscription. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information and keep it updated.
Login credentials are personal and non-transferable. Do not share credentials, bypass access restrictions, or attempt to defeat paywalls or usage meters.
You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
We may deactivate inactive free accounts; active paid subscriptions will not be affected while in good standing.
6) What you’re allowed to do (licence)
We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access the Services and view content strictly for personal, non-commercial use.
7) Prohibited uses
You must not:
Copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, publicly display, perform, adapt, translate, or create derivative works from NewstimeTN content except where a built-in feature expressly permits it.
Systematically copy, republish, or share content beyond permitted sharing tools without prior written permission or a separate licence.
Remove copyright notices, reverse engineer systems, interfere with security or access controls, or use the Services for unlawful purposes.
Use the Services in violation of export controls, sanctions, or third-party intellectual or proprietary rights.
7A) Automated access; bots, crawlers & AI/ML
Except for public search engines indexing content in accordance with our robots.txt, you must not use bots, crawlers, scrapers, or similar tools to access, copy, cache, archive, or index the Services.
You must not use NewstimeTN content or metadata to train, fine-tune, evaluate, benchmark, or improve AI/ML systems without a written licence. We may enforce these restrictions using technical and legal measures.
7B) APIs, embeds & scraping
Use of APIs, data feeds, widgets, or embeds may be governed by separate terms. We may apply keys, rate limits, or access controls and may revoke access at any time. Automated scraping, crawling, or bulk downloading is prohibited.
8) User content & submissions (UGC)
You confirm that you own or have the necessary rights to submit user-generated content (UGC) and that it is lawful, non-defamatory, and does not infringe third-party rights.
You grant NewstimeTN a worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence (with the right to sub-licence) to host, store, use, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, display, and create derivative works from your UGC in any media.
We may edit, moderate, refuse, or remove UGC at our discretion and restrict access if features are abused.
You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your UGC.
9) Graphic/photo submissions
If you submit photos or graphics, you confirm that you created them or have permission to use them and grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish and use them across NewstimeTN platforms. We may edit, crop, or remove submissions and may publish your name unless you request otherwise (subject to editorial discretion). No payment is due unless expressly stated.
10) Editorial independence, ads, sponsored content & affiliates
The Services may include advertisements, sponsored or native content, and affiliate links. Advertisers are solely responsible for their content and legal compliance. Sponsored content will be clearly labelled. NewstimeTN may earn commissions from affiliate links and is not responsible for third-party products or services.
11) Subscriptions, trials, billing & refunds
We may offer free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal through your account settings.
Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or stated in a specific offer.
Free trials convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends.
Purchases made through app stores are subject to that store’s billing and refund rules.
Prices are in INR unless stated otherwise; you are responsible for applicable bank or payment gateway charges.
11A) Corporate & group access
Personal subscriptions are for individual use only and may not be shared within organisations. Corporate, institutional, or newsroom use requires a separate written agreement.
12) Professional disclaimers (no advice)
All content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, legal, medical, or professional advice. Information may be delayed or contain errors. Do not rely solely on our content for decisions; consult qualified professionals where appropriate.
13) Privacy, marketing & data use
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data and outlines your choices.
14) Third-party sites & services
Links to third-party websites or services are provided for convenience. NewstimeTN does not control or endorse them and is not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.
15) Under-18 guidance
If you are under 18, obtain permission from a parent or guardian before engaging in interactive features. Do not post personal information publicly except in accordance with our Policies.

17) Services provided “as is”
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free access or the completeness or accuracy of content.
18) Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NewstimeTN is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, business, goodwill, or reputation.
19) Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NewstimeTN, its owners, affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from claims, losses, or costs arising from your use of the Services, your UGC, or your violation of these Terms or the law.
20) Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate access, with or without notice, if these Terms or applicable laws are breached or to protect users or the Services. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ends immediately. Certain clauses will survive termination.
21) Availability
We aim to provide continuous access but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and are not responsible for outages or delays.
